Thank you to everyone that made the 1st Annual ECBA Freedom Run a huge success. We had over 1000 runners take part in this years event. Thank you to all our volunteers who worked hard all morning to make sure we had a great event. Thanks to Cambridge 5k who organized a great run and thank you the Cambridgeside Galleria Mall for all their support in making the event a reality.
Most importantly, thank you to all those who have served our country and those who are currently serving. Memorial Day is about you and the sacrifices you make for all of us. Hopefully Freedom Run serves as a reminder to what this day is all about.
In this spirit ECBA is going to donate a portion of Freedom Run proceeds to the Glen Doherty Foundation. Glen was a Navy SEAL who died while serving his country. Consider making your own donation to his foundation this Memorial Day.
Thanks again to everyone who made the Freedom Run another great day in East Cambridge. Hope to see you all next year. We will be posting more pictures of the day soon.
Seafood is SO healthy and often we don’t incorporate enough of it into our diet because we’re worried about overcooking it, undercooking it or just not sure how to prepare it. Don’t fear. Carl Fantasia is here!
Spend the evening learning all about seafood with our favorite fishmonger, Carl Fantasia of New Deal Fish Market in Cambridge. Carl is a 3rd generation fishmonger and is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about all things seafood.
It will be a fun and educational night where you learn how to shuck shellfish, fillet fish and cook fish to perfection. Find out what type of fish is best for different types of prepartion – grilling, poaching, pan frying. Roll up your sleeves and jump in or sit back and slurp some oysters while sipping a tasty beverage. Carl will also talk about sustainability and how to navigate choices of which fish to buy.
Cost of class includes a handsome, rugged how2heroes apron.
